The following specified examinations are offered several times throughout the year. Instruction is either private (1-to-1) or in tandem (2-to-1). Course duration is 6 to 12 months and begins from intermediate level. The examination is administered twice a year via internet, the IHK or by the respective cultural institutes located in Germany. Course duration amounts to approx. 12 weeks intensive training abroad. Please refer to our DESR language travel catalog for details.

English:	1. Cambridge exam (FCE/CAE: Certificate 1 / Advanced): average/above average to advanced level of English knowledge is required to receive a satisfactory/passing mark on the exam. 2. TOEFL (Test OF English as a Foreign Language): a computer-assisted, American based test, which, based on a minimum score, determines at which colleges or universities one may apply. TOEFL is necessary for the admission to American universities and colleges and for job applications with many North American enterprises.
Spanish:	DELE (Diploma de Español como Lengua Extranjera, as basic or superior): given twice annually - usually May and November- at the Spanish Culture Institute "Instituto Cervantes" in Mainz.
French:	DELF/DALF (diplomas of d'Etudes EN Langue Francaise): is prepared and administered by the French Ministry of Education.
Italian:	CILS (Certificato di Italiano come Lingua Straniera) is administered by the University of Siena at 4 levels, each containing oral and written segments.
German:	1.TestDaF (Test of German as a Foreign language) 2. DSH (German language examination for entrance to university) 3. Regular (KDS) or advanced German language diploma (GDS)
